Business Developer for OPEX within Fighter Aircraft
We believe that progress and opportunities are best created together. Welcome to a place where collaboration makes a difference.
About OPEX
Operational Excellence (OPEX) within the Fighter Aircraft department, BU Gripen, is seeking a business developer to support the department in achieving its long-term goals. OPEX works to initiate, drive, and follow up on improvement efforts related to strategic priorities. Through mapping, analysis, and development of key performance indicators and working methods, we create tools that solve today's challenges and strengthen the organization's ability to manage, learn, and develop for the future.
We believe that small steps lead to big results - and we are looking for you who want to be part of that journey.
With approximately 800 employees, the department offers a dynamic and stimulating work environment. Whether you want to grow within the department or explore other parts of the company, there are many opportunities to achieve your professional goals.
Your Role
You create order, direction, and progress - and contribute to building a culture where improvement and learning are an obvious part of everyday life. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that new working methods are implemented in a structured, sustainable, and scalable way. You take initiative, lead, and ensure that the development work actually results in outcomes - you do not let go until it is achieved.
An important part of the assignment is to strengthen the improvement capability through training, coaching, and methodological support, while conducting analyses that create insights and direction. You support the department in data-driven decision-making and change work, and you facilitate workshops that create engagement, participation, and progress in our change processes.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is confident in a role where you take responsibility for creating momentum, following up on ongoing activities. You thrive in complexity, are skilled at bringing order to unclear contexts, and communicate in a way that creates understanding and engagement. You have a knack for creating engagement and helping others understand the importance of improvement work. You are accustomed to creating clarity in ambiguous environments and leading through dialogue, facilitation, and methodology. You work data-driven and have experience supporting an organization in change, prioritization, and decision-making.
As a person, you are analytical, pedagogical, and relationship-building. You create trust, build legitimacy, and get groups to want to move in the same direction. You are curious, structured, and have a natural ability to see the big picture - and translate it into concrete action.
Requirements
- Experience in business development or improvement work
- Ability to take initiative and drive work independently
- Ability to create structure and clarity in unclear and complex environments
- Experience leading through facilitation, dialogue, and methodology
- Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
Meritorious
- Experience in translating strategic goals into concrete working methods, models, and improvements.
- Experience in developing key performance indicators, follow-up models, or governance.
- Certification or training in improvement methodology, e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA, with experience in process mapping and flow analysis.
We prefer that you have an academic background in social sciences, HR, economics, management, engineering, computer science, or another relevant field. For us, your experience in driving development, getting others on board, your ability to create structure, and follow up on initiatives are more important than the exact degree you have.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
What You Will Be Part Of
Discover endless opportunities. Take on challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your skills. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together, we achieve the extraordinary, each bringing their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.
